In celebration of Earth Day, we created bird feeders and planted seeds to start our own flower or vegetable garden.
This trip is being subsidized by a grant from the Central Gwinnett Cluster Foundation.
Reminder information: A card like the one shown below was given to all participants Thursday. Fernbank Museum Field Trip Reminders · Arrive at RMS by 8:15am (bus leaves AT 8:30), on Monday, April 7th. · No food is allowed on the bus so be sure to have eaten and gone to the restroom before arriving. · The tickets have been purchased and are non-refundable, so please be sure to attend. · Parents must be at the school at 3:30 to pick up their students. Our January Meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 16th from 4:30 to 6:00.
Our topic is Marine Biology. We will focus on the life of a sea turtle- its struggles for survival. Our main activity will involve watching a movie entitled, Turtle: The Incredible Journey. Jekyll Update!!!! Permission/medical release packets were sent home yesterday to students going on the Jekyll Island field trip in February. These forms must be completed, signed and returned no later than the 16th. Along with the trip's final payment or $150. Jekyll Island Parent Meeting will follow the December 5th meeting (6:00 pm). Anyone interested on further information about the science clubs annual Jekyll Island 4H Center trip in February should attend. The first installment of $100 is due this week. Basic information is attached below. You can also visit the Jekyll Island 4H center website. http://www.jekyll4h.org
Do not forget to ask your parents about the Jekyll Island trip. The first installment and the parent meeting are Thursday, December 5th which is the week we return form Thanksgiving break.
