Monday:
Grassland portions were returned to the students for review of their grade. Progress reports were sent home to parents.
We had a long discussion about taking pride in assignments. I asked the students if they would feel pleased with themselves and their efforts if Mr. McCain saw their work? Food for thought.
We began investigating Tundra biomes and all that they entail.
Tuesday:
We continued with Tundra biomes, introducing the concepts of adaptations, predation, autotroph, and heterotroph.
TONIGHT- They should be able to complete the Tundra portion of their Biome Book Project in addition to creating both the title page for the Tundra and the title page for the Taiga/coniferous and boreal forest.
Wednesday:
We will work on learning the characteristics of Taiga biomes which are also known as coniferous forests or borael forests.
*****Both are covered this week and due on TUESDAY, Sept. 3rd
TONIGHT- They should plan how best to use their computer lab time.
Thursday:
We are scheduled to work in the computer lab
TONIGHT- They should try to complete their tundra/taiga portion of the biome book project. In doing so, they can ask follow up questions on Friday or print Friday morning at school. They
Friday:
We will wrap up loose ends.
