Thursday and Friday of last week, we began exploring, to find a topic for each student's science fair project.
They are ALL required to complete one, so they might as well make it splendid!!!!!
* We will work this upcoming week on the science fair project, but the majority of the project must be completed at home.
We will work with Mrs. Rivers on the correct way to construct and research paper.
Students will need a composition book as well as a tri-fold backboard. I have some spare composition books if your student needs one. Tri-fold boards can be purchased at Walmart, hobby Lobby, JoAnn's, Michael's, Office Depot, and Staples.
The RMS Science Fair Website will be a tremendous resource.
Monday: We will differentiate a research plan from a research paper. We will also work towards finalizing a doable topic.
Tuesday: We will work with Ms. Cannon our media specialist to learn about the dangers of plagiarism and how to locate appropriate resources for finding background knowledge and information for the research paper.
Wednesday: We will be researching on the computers in the media center
Thursday: We will work towards phrasing the question appropriately in addition to reviewing the scientific method and variables.
Friday: Continue with Science Fair
***** coming soon..... a recommended timeline, in addition to other pertinent information I think to post :)
